About the Book
This book describes a 7-day scenic trek in the Pabbar River Valley, in the Himalayas of Himachal Pradesh, in India.
The Pabbar River in Himachal, starts from a high altitude lake called Chandranahan, at 4200M in Upper Shimla district, adjoining Sangla/Baspa Valley.
The waters from the lake crashes down to the valley near Litham, in a huge cascading waterfall and then flows west past the villages of Janglikh & Tungnu and then on to the towns of Rohru and Hathkoti.
Our Group of 7 trekkers went up this Pabbar Valley in Sept-2008. The trail passes through some wonderful forests, meadows and villages with beautiful and friendly people. The pictures in this book showcase the people and the scenery along this trail.

I have always dreamed of travelling all over India, to see every village, river and mountain in this vast country. To meet people of every region and experience their diverse cultures, gods, languages and food. In 2003, I was already 55 years old. When am I going to fulfill my dreams? I decided to retire early and take up travel, more or less, full time! Since then, I have toured the length and breadth of India. Mostly by trains, buses & share-jeeps. And hiked many mountain trails, in the Himalayas of India and Nepal. I am also learning DSLR Photography and interested in Nature Photography.
