About the Book
The last canvas was inspired by the desire to become an accomplished artist. This photography book is the beginning of a career filled with beauty and passion on all mediums.
Lighting was critical in the making of this project. Bouncing light off walls and using angles gave me an understanding of direct and indirect light. The main challenge was finding a paint that would work well on the human body. Tempera is one of the few that are non-toxic to the human skin. Working with models was quite exciting, and directing them was insightful to communication between artist and model. I am glad that I tried something new and enjoyed the challenge.
