About the Book
"A Slice of Orange" was inspired by the Orange County centennial photo project in 1989 and well-known "day in the life" photo projects like A Day in the Life of America in 1986 and America 24/7 in 2003.
During the weeks before and after Labor Day in 2014, 60+ members of the Photographic Society of Orange County (PSOC) traversed the length and breadth of Orange County, capturing images of residents and visitors as they wound down summer over the holiday weekend, headed back to school and went about their everyday lives.
