HIDDEN RIVER, JUNE 29, 2007
Nicole Swanberg and Chip Pixley were married by Rev. Jeanne Matthews Sommer late on a cloudy afternoon at Hidden River in a mown field beside the Swannanoa River with purple mountains all around. Chip Earnhardt played beautiful Bach selections on his guitar. The bride arrived in a white carriage drawn by a brown horse. Amelia Sommer spread rose petals in front of the bride. And then in the gathering dark by the glow of candles Nicole and Chip said their vows, exchanged rings, kissed and were driven away in the white wedding carriage.
