About the Book
The photographs in this book were made in 2008 and January 2009 and represent an aspect of my first year of serious photography.
Which aspect exactly, I'm not sure. All my digital images start off in colour, and these are some of those that I felt particularly suited black-and-white. Aside from that there is no theme common to the subjects, beyond those of form, light, and texture. It is the simple visual beauty of both natural and artificial objects and places, in varying light, that interests me most in photography, so it makes sense that there has been no further classification in making this book.
NOTE: What you can't see in the preview is that each copy has two pages at the back dedicated to equipment and exposure details, for every photograph.
