THE OLD ONE AND THE DRAGON is a fairy tale about childhood and a metaphor about aging. Ultimately, it is journey to a place outside of time, where memory and imagination teach us how to invent and re-invent our lives.
Julie Meridian is a self-taught photographer, with a background in fine art and art education. She recently exhibited her work at the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago and the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Massachusetts, and is in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas. A portfolio of her work was featured in LensWork magazine and she has won several awards from B&W Magazine.
