HET AVONTUUR VAN TEKENEN (The Adventure of drawing)
50 years of black and white drawings by visual artist RIK LINA.
From the early zen-calligraphy and psychedelic drawings of the 1960's,
his investigations into the unknown worlds of tropical rainforest and coral reef,
to a mature style of bold ink-on-paper experimentation. An still continuing
adventure of configurations and natural textures of the imagination.
As his close friend the poet Miguel de Carvalho says: ‘Rik Lina is a passionate
diver into the different states of consciousness (and unconsciousness) where
automatism is the sole language ruling the domains of desire and freedom.’
