Joan Harrison is a freelance writer specializing in gardening topics, particularly hydrangeas. She is a master gardener who has traveled extensively to view notable hydrangea collections around the world including the Shamrock Collection in France, Holehird Gardens in England, and the collection of the Belgian Hydrangea Society in Destelbergen, Belgium. She is the founding president of the Cape Cod Hydrangea Society.
