Since 2004 Paul Angel has been photographing graffiti lovehearts and the locations in which they were found. Often romantic, sometimes gritty and occasionally funny, there are urban hearts, coastal hearts, hearts carved into the bark of trees, hearts in stone, hearts in sand, hearts in spraypaint, marker pen and biro.

There are beautiful places, hidden places, fascinating places and places where the smell of urban life is almost overwhelming. This first collection in print is a selection of photographs from the UK, taken from over 500 images produced so far in the UK, France, Italy, Spain and the USA.
