About the Book
Jonathan Hillhouse was born in England, 1980. He studied Art History and Popular Music at Liverpool University after which he moved to Japan in 2004.
It was on the small island of Tanegashima where his photography blossomed. Using a wide range of 35mm and medium format cameras and shooting on a wide variety of films, his photographs capture the tradition and modernity prevalent in everyday Japan.
