From the moment I first sat behind the wheel of the Toyota, memories came flooding back of bouncing down dusty roads with bull dust billowing and baobabs fading in the rear view mirror. It re-ignited my dream to drive an epic journey.
I have worked my way along the roads of England constantly wondering where I might be if I had gone due south or due west or any other way than the way that I had to go to earn a living. This is a document of my own epic journey travelled over nine short months, the small details of the human condition and the fleeting moments of beauty which this green and pleasant land has offered up along the way.
While all along other road users have looked down at me as the White Van Man, the one too close in the rear view mirror, the one hogging the fast lane, the one parked with no care on yellow lines. The reality is that I am not the thoughtless and reckless White Van Man. I am the one who has travelled the circumference of the earth at the equator in just nine months.
