About the Book
Alain Bourgeois is an urban landscape photographer based in New York City. For many years he has traveled, both in the United States and abroad, seeking to document the progressive effects of the passage of time on the structures and tonality of the ever-shifting urban environment. As the Cuban embargo comes to an end, the look of Havana will inexorably change. For better or for worse, the unique mood and texture of today's Havana will fade, first into memory and, eventually, into history. This book seeks to preserve and to communicate, in some measure, the unique temper and tonality of Cuba's capital city.
