"Marfa's Youngest Art" has been created to showcase the children and the artwork created at Marfa Elementary School in Marfa, TX. All of the art classes are taught by artist-teachers through a program called SITES - Studio in the Elementary School.

Marfa is one of the premier "art towns" in America. The county and school district, however, are extremely poor with 60% of the children living in poverty. Therefore, there is no public funding of art classes in the elementary school.

The art classes are about art and so much more. They introduce and/or reinforce information from other topic areas. They inspire imagination, dreams. They deal with problem solving. And most of all, they are intended to promote a positive self-image for each child.

SITES is the sole focus of Marfa Studio for Arts (MSA), a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. The program is dependent on grants and donations. Every donation is appreciated.
