In the Spring of 2009, Mohamed Zahidi and Ahmed el Missouab were cultural guides for a photo sojourn in Morocco sponsored by the Marco Polo Club of Ambercrombie & Kent. I was the photography guide for that photo sojourn.
This photo tour provided a wonderful opportunity for the three of us, Mohamed, Ahmed and me, to work together as we traveled. We guided our group, and photographed the medinas, souks, kasbahs, the architecture and the culture in the royal cities of Morocco, then crossed over the Atlas Mountains and journeyed through the Berber desert areas of the Sahara.
It was such a great pleasure to work with Mohamed and Ahmed because they are true professionals, with a deep love of their culture and their heritage, and a great understanding of their history. Working together in such a way allowed us to form the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I have published this book of images of Mohamed and Ahmend "in action" so they, and their families, may have memories of our adventure together forever.
