About the Book
All of the images in this book were made in one afternoon at the Evergreen Studios Gallery in Redmond, Oregon. The space there is open and loft-like, with high ceilings, a wall of windows and a cement floor that bears the scars of previous owners and remodeling. That floor told many stories, and it wasn't until I viewed the images later that I realized the stories were my own. Although the images are abstract, they resonate for me with deep personal feeling. The process of photographing the floor, editing the images and putting together this book has been a lesson in remaining "grounded" and appreciating the true beauty of my life experiences.
