Photos in this book were taken during a port call at Qaqortoq ,Greenland during a transatlantic cruise in Sept. 2008. Sunrises in this part of the world look like sunsets we're used to at home. Sailing among giant icebergs was a new experience. The town of Qaqortoq is perched on the side of the mountain. Most of the buildings, private and commercial are painted bright colors. The inhabitants are very friendly. They were happy to see us because it was the end of the tourist season and the previous 2 cruise ships scheduled to visit had been unable to do so because of bad weather.

Lori
Theodore, Winston and I, Patrick, loved you photographs - especially with the sunsets, icebergs and dogs! Winston and Theodore also loved your quote from Diogenes that "Dogs and Philosophers do the greatest good and get the fewest rewards" (so I gave them xtra bisquit treats) we shall use that quote in our next dog book........
Best Wishes, Patrick, Theodore and Winston
