About the Book
A sequence of 73 colour and 16 black and white photographs, interspersed with fragments of poetic text, that together constitute an artistic exploration of places associated with the late musician Mark Linkous. These locations, in which Linkous lived, worked and died, very evidently suffused his art, and the images and text that comprise this project present Foster's response to his own experience of a journey around these places – in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee – and of their resonance with Linkous's music.
