About the Book
Brief Artist’s Statement
These portraits were created in the liminal time early in the morning upon awaking.
In that dusk hour are hopes, for that liminal state where there is disregard for aesthetics and the urgency for resolution.
Liminality: def. on the threshold, an in between state, transitory,
borderline, indefinite, Intermediary, disengagement, middle-ground,
a space and time where transformations take place, a transitional
state filled with ambiguities, disorientation, shadowy non-specific,
between past and future, a weigh-station, transformative, trans-identity,
dream state, limbo, shamanism, magic, psychopompery.
