This book is a photographic study of a 2009 crocheted art installation in the San Juan Islands made from deconstructed thrift store t-shirts. It includes writings about the project and haikus (Japanese 5-7-5 form poetry) by the artist. Enjoy!

Born in the practical midwest, raised in between fields and woodlands, and trained in architecture, I am deeply interested in making meaningful experiences for others in architecture, art and apparel design. Even if the other being only inhabits my designs for the length of an art viewing or the time it takes them to try on a garment or to have a lovely dinner, I want them to feel at "home" while they are there. Nature's structures and patterns, colors and texture deeply inspire my designs as well.
