About the Creator
Norma Haas Rosen was born in Hackensack, N.J. and lived in Teaneck through high school gradation. She graduated from Alfred University, SUNY College of Ceramics with a BFA. She went onto Temple University, Tyler School of Art where she earned an MFA. As an artist educator, she has lived in NYC, Philadelphia, upstate New York, small mid-western cities, San Diego and Benin City Nigeria while teaching at various universities. Her internships, residencies, art workshops and travels have taken her to Deer Island, Maine, Penland, North Carolina, Helena, Montana, Toronto, Canada, Nova Scotia, Canada, Wolverhampton,England and Oaxaca, Mexico. Her work has been widely exhibited throughout the US and Canada in solo and group exhibitions and is in collections at the Carpenter-Traver Foundation and the Royal Ontario Museum. Rosen's photography has been published by the Center for African Art, NYC., The Metropolitan Museum of Art/Abrams, NYC, Benchmark Books/Marshall Cavendish, NYC/Smithsonian Lib
