Maria Kazanskaya grew up in Samara, Russia, where she graduated from a fine art college. After that she completed an M.F.A. program at Moscow's Stroganoff Institute and now resides in California. She exhibited in the US, Canada, and Russia, illustrated two books of poetry, designed a logo for the Russian literary competition TENETA. Her works are in private and public collections in Russia, USA, Canada, Germany, and Estonia.
This album represents Maria's works from recent years, with an essay by a renowned art historian, Professor Emeritus of Estonian Academy of Arts, Boris Bernstein.
