About the Book
On the back of my apartment door in San Francisco a quote was written that stated: “It is better to fail at something important, than to succeed at something trivial.”
From 2006 to 2009, my classmates and I did our best to succeed at something important: becoming dentists. Along the way we encountered many challenges, and achieved some exciting accomplishments as well. And although many hours a day were devoted to the task at hand, we also spent some time having fun! After all, it is not all too often that one gets to spend three years in such a beautiful city as San Francisco. From crawfish boils, to simulation courses, we experienced fun, friendship, and sometimes even a fire alarm (or two).
Almost everywhere I went, I brought my camera and documented the adventure. ‘Three Years in San Francisco’ is the resulting compilation of my favorite photographs taken between 2006 and 2009.
