Following the opening of the new Boat House on the Union Canal in May 1988, the 1988/89 season saw the Boat Club produce a number of outstanding results, including a top 20 finish from a field of 420 crews from across Europe at the Head of the River Race in London, finishing 5th at the Belgian Open Championships behind East Germany, defeating Cambridge University in the Thames Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta and picking up a bronze medal at the National Rowing Championships of Great Britain.
This book was produced to celebrate those achievements as the Mens Eight from 1989 met up at Henley twenty years later.
