Images and Ideas offers a selection of 160 travel photographs made as expression. Each of them translates a moment in time, light, and space into an idea. Most of them are presented here in pairs or sets, rather than displayed individually. Each combination of images adds additional ideas through contrasts and comparisons. Photographer Philip N. Douglis is director of The Douglis Visual Workshops in Phoenix, Arizona. He has been teaching photographic expression, as well as pursuing his passion for travel photography, since 1971.
