This coffee table book of 160 pages with 74 black and white plates of Portugal has been printed with the best quality paper and is a hard cover. The edition is limited to 500 copies. And comes with ISBN number 978-0-9573961-0-4. It is also available on Amazon.
The images were taken during a period of 12 years and are divided between digital and film.
The entire content gives a broad view of modern day Portugal, while paying respect to the history and culture.
The text gives an introduction to Portugal, Mel's reason for being there and has the support of the Portuguese Centre of Photography in Porto (www.cpf.pt) and Portugal's premier environmental agency Quercus (www.quercus.pt), while the entire content is bilingual.
Mel toured the UK with mini launches throughout 2009 - keep an eye on his blog (www.melsbwportfolio.blogspot.com) and there was a major launch at CPF in Porto on 26th September. The book is still receiving 72 full book hits (not page hits) every week.

PORTUGAL THROUGH MY EYES
My coffee table edition is already held at the Portuguese Museum of Photography, but now it is also held at the Bodleian Library Oxford University, The Cambridge University Library, the National Library of Scotland, the National Library of Wales and Trinity College Dublin. A copy is also now in the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon.
