About the Book
Sixty years ago I drew my first nude at an evening figure drawing class. I used for my first venture a ball point pen, You will not find any ball point drawings in this book. Predictably the results of this first attempt were awful. However, fascinated by drawing, I changed my major from engineering to architecture and I remain in love with the process of translating all forms of reality into two dimensional markings. In this century's conversion to everything digital I go on joyfully with my manual efforts in the fields of architecture and art. As to figures, I have found that success drawing the human figure means that one can draw virtually anything. In this book you will find chapters devoted to eight different drawing mediums. Partly out of curiosity and partly to keep the process fresh, as soon as I felt comfortable with a medium I tried another. I hope you will find the variety interesting.
