About the Book
This book takes a pictorial journey through a small part of South Wales, focused around the city of Swansea. Swansea is situated at the mouth of the River Tawe at the heart of the sweep of Swansea Bay. It links the upland area of the Upper Swansea Valley situated to the north, with Swansea Bay and the Gower Peninsular to the west. The River Tawe flows for some 30 miles from its source high in the Western Brecon Beacons and passes through picturesque scenery as it descends the valley. The Gower peninsular is famous for its coastline and in 1956 was designated as the United Kingdom’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
