The Minimal Hook is the first in a planned series of books—part instructional, part philosophical—for people who have a taste for couture but not hauteur. This elegant little manual shows how to create simple, quirky, luxurious pieces with your own hands, but more important, it speaks to a spiritual and mental state of peace achieved in the process of making.
Other titles in the series will include:
The Minimal Hook 2
(more simple ways to crochet)
The Minimal Tee
(how to alter Men’s XXL tees into feline and fitted lounge wear)
The Minimal Stitch
(how to re-construct mass-produced thrift store clothing into personal couture)
Items from all the books can work alone but are also designed to layer.

This beautiful book has opened my eyes to the great potential of loose crochet. It seems so obvious now after reading the book that excellent drape can be achieved by just taking the hook size up several notches. The general guidelines instead of fixed, straight-jacket patterns is a step in the right direction. Am looking forward to the next book in the series!
