About the Book
In March 2009 a group of Pepperdine students spent their spring break on the east coast in a service trip called Project LEAD. This student designed project was motivated to help others, specifically high school students. Each group member was assigned a certain city (i.e. Boston, Bristol, New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia). Within that city student leaders went into high schools conducting a leadership workshop based on the theme, “In Existence.” Besides the important student focus, our group met with various leaders from our respective cities. The goal of these interviews was to grasp a better understanding of what a prominent individual believes leadership is or what it looks like. In the high schools we were teaching leadership and in the interviews we were learning leadership. Our trip is now over, but it was one of the greatest things we have experienced, and now those experiences and memories have been put into this book. Enjoy!
