Herbie Martin was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1985 moved to Central Florida. Participated in manyl art festivals while attending Winter Park High School.

After a horrible auto accident in early 1990, Herbie decided to refocus his life and matriculated at the Savannah College of Art Design (SCAD) where he majored in Photography, Graphic Design and Art History.

Herbie labored for several publications, agencies and corporations for the next 17 years after graduation. He also started a number of businesses dealing with creative services. Created over 20 book covers.

In 2006, Herbie Martin decided to change his artistic name to Herblish to correspond to his new creative focus. As Herblish, he incorporates his photography, photo-editing along with graphics, music and his new
love of body painting.

He currently teaches at the Harmon’s School of Photography and also his own creative photography educational venture called the Herblish Sunday Workshops.
