About the Book
Evolution-Accelerating Prana Yoga is a yogic breathing technique taught since ancient times to initiates in the remote mountain regions of Sri Lanka and India, as a means to accelerate spiritual unfoldment.
The author, Pandit Kanniah Yogi, an elusive spiritual master who, during His life, preferred to teach small groups of dedicated initiates, passed on the method to His direct disciple Swami Dr RK Murugesu of Nuwara Eliya (in Sri Lanka), who continued the tradition, iniating small groups of dedicated students until His Mahasamadhi (conscious exit of the physical body) in 2007. Before His passing, Swami Murugesu was instructed by Sri Kanniah Yogi to make this information available to an eager and growing populace of Western aspirants, a project which has since been inherited by His devoted disciple, Swami Shankarananda.
The technique is extremely simple, its purpose being to stimulate direct absorption of Universal Cosmic Energy (Prana) from the surrounding ether in order to vitalise the body, mind and soul by speedily clearing energy pathways and accelerating the evolutionary process of those who wilfully and conscientiously practise the technique regularly.
