About the Book
Photographs in the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon, 2015–2016.
This book was inspired by two classic books: Walker Evans's American Photographs and Robert Frank's The Americans. It has roughly the same size, format, and black and white imagery as those books. More important, it attempts to portray the characteristic look and atmosphere of a significant piece of my contemporary America, just as Evans and Frank did for theirs
