This collection of paintings provides a personal vision of life among friends at the beaches on Martha's Vineyard. The artist Glenn Tunstull, a perennial visitor, captures vistas of beach life on the island. The oil paintings here represent recent creative expressions for the artist, highlighting his distinctive style of painting in oils. Using a technique he calls "dashilism", based on the impressionistic style of painting entitled "pointillism" he literally expands upon the style of art by using dash strokes to capture the subtle color differences that bond together to form shape and movement in the visual symphony of our eyes. The result is a brightly colored and strongly textured vision of the world around us that allows the viewer to vicariously live the life in each work created.
