Darfur August 1985 is a book of documentary photography with personal commentaries and a brief background of the conflict in Darfur.
The Darfur situation that we see today has been in the makings in 1984. In 1985, hundreds of thousands of people died and were displaced as a result of a catastrophic drought and famine.
The book is divided into 5 photo chapters that touch on aspects of Darfur from the suffering in the refugee camps to life in the countryside.
