Mary O was a woman extraordinaire. This book presents a brief view of the essence of my relationship and experience of Mary for nearly 15 years. She was a unique human being whose influence on me will never fade. She always wanted to be an artist and she made living her Art.


About the Author

Fern Logan

After 20 years of working as a photographer and graphic designer in New York City, Fern Logan brought her experience to academe in 1990. She is currently an Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University in the Department of Cinema & Photography. Ms. Logan completed her graduate work in Chicago at The School of the Art Institute. Her photography has been shown and published regularly in this country and abroad. Her work has been exhibited twice at The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Her digital imagery was awarded an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship in 1998 and again in 2001. Also in 2001, the Southern Illinois University Press published a book of her portraits entitled The Artist Portrait Series. You can find her work published in several collections one of which is Committed to the Image, the exhibition catalog published by the Brooklyn Museum.
