Big Thoughts by Little People, A Parents' Journal for Children's Quotes, is a gift book for parents of young children. As children grow up, we want to remember their musings, but inevitably our memories fade. To remedy this dilemma, I developed a book to inspire adults to listen to their children and to preserve their thoughts.

Sarah McEneany is an award winning portrait and fine art photographer. She began her commercial photography career in 1986 and her clients have included major advertising agencies, corporations and individuals. By 1996, after the birth of her first child, Sarah took photographs of her daughter, but was soon highly sought after to photographs the most important people in her client’s lives: their children and extended family members. Sarah’s portraits are widely recognized for their authenticity and beauty. While she is a keen observer, Sarah believes a portrait is given rather than taken: it is collaboration between her and her subject. Many of her portrait assignments and personal projects focus on children and families. Both her portraits and fine art images have been exhibited, published and collected nationally. Sarah lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband, Robert Lewis Smith, also a photographer, and their two children: Mimi and Liam McEneany Smith.
