In May 2006, seven months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, I decided to create an artistic document of the recovery process: The New Orleans Drawing Project. As part of my process, I use a sketchbook to find the images that will turn into the larger drawings. This book is a replica of the sketchbook I made during my trip to New Orleans in March 2007, eighteen months after Katrina.
