About the Book
Due to his academic gifts, Timothy Slum, a fifth-grader, has been enrolled at L.A. High School by his parents. The problem, of course, is that Timothy is too young to be in high school. Moreover, he doesn't have any friends, even among those his own age. Will Timothy survive the loneliness, insults, and bullying at his new school?
The Young High Schooler is the twenty-eighth book that has resulted from student work in Kid Scribes, a creative writing and desktop publishing class conducted by Excelsus Foundation at schools and other nonprofits nationwide.
