From March 15 to April 10, 2009 we traveled to Tanzania for a safari and then on to several islands of the Indian Ocean on Lindblad Expeditions ship National Geographic Explorer. The week-long safari was a pre-trip extension operated by Micato Safaris. It reached the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.

We then boarded the ship in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and proceeded to Zanzibar, Ibo Island in Mozambique, Mayotte in the French Comoros, followed by 12 islands in The Seychelles. We had an overnight in Dubai on the trip home.
