The Kansas landscape and terrain is more varied than you might think. Come explore the hidden gems of the state through the photographs of Angela Classen.
I've been taking photos since about age 12, when my dad gave me his old SLR. I try to capture nature's beauty with my camera, whether it be a grand mountain scene or a simple, single wildflower. I especially enjoy photographing flowers, but barns, courthouses and ghost towns/abandoned rustic structures are also favorite targets of my lens. My images have been published in Kansas! Magazine, the Missouri Columbian newspaper, Kansas Bankers Association's "Scenes of Kansas 2010 Calendar" and the Colorado National Monument Association's 2012 & 2013 calendars. I have been awarded 3 Weekly Pick Awards from Nature Photographers Network, numerous ribbons from the Kansas Garden Show photography contest, and 2 images have been featured on Outdoor Photographer's "Your Favorite Places" web gallery. Also, several organizations are currently using my images as cover shots on their Facebook pages.
