Hey, if you're reading this you really should have a dog next to you. Oh, and you need to be reading out loud. Yeah, get used to it because this is a book for dogs.

Uh-huh, you read that right - DOGS.

Of course, since dogs can't read they need a person to read it. But you have to be a dog person - a DOG person.

'Beef Casserole for the Dog's Soul ' is a treasury of barkalicious stories that your dog will love. (Well maybe not all of the stories - it depends what kind of dog they are.) Will they resonate with Glam Dog's lesson about beauty on the inside? Or are they a more like Bonehead, the dog who finds a new dog pal? Or Buddy Dog who can sniff out love in the air? Maybe you're lucky enough to live with a hero dog like Belle in Tricky Dog or Lucy in Deaf Dog?

Well, as far as we're concerned all dogs are heroes. And so are you if you read them a story written especially for them with their own name and favorite words like 'walk', 'bone', 'treat', 'hug', 'play', 'ball' and 'good dog'!

Enrich you and your dog's relationship in a wonderful new way. Read your dog a story written especially for them. Fetch a copy of "Beef Casserole for the Dog's Soul, a treasury of barkalicious stories to read to your dog" today.

While Beef Casserole for the Dog’s Soul may seem like just a collection of lighthearted short stories at first glance, in reality, it provides the reader with some important information and some touching life lessons. For example, in her first story entitled Puppy Dog, the reader learns that puppies like routine and that training is most successful when it doesn’t “last too long.” In another story, Glam Dog, Love relates the story of Contessa, a prissy show dog who spent all her time being primped and coiffed. After she was caught in the fire and badly burned, however, she became a therapy dog at a local animal hospital where she helps other dogs and their owners cope with their fears. At the end of each story, Love also provides Dog Jive, a list of words and phrases and what they mean to dogs. Beef Casserole is a very creative book and a delicious helping of fun for dog lovers of all ages. Moreover, their furkids are sure to lap it up! I know mine did!!

Well, I never thought I'd be writing about a book which is for Dogs, no not about dogs FOR dogs! Then again I never thought I'd read a book to a dog but I did that too.
I was given this book by a friend and I gave it a try. My son and I settled on the sofa with our aging pug and started to read. Peaches (the pug, not my son) was rapt. Who knows how much she understood but all that matters is that we were chatting and cuddling and just being together.
To be honest, I think that Peaches was being a bit neglected in that she is old and spends a lot of time sleeping and we take it for granted that she's there. So we now make time to pay more attention and be with her.
It's had the added benefit of being completely child friendly and my son loves the stories just as much as Peaches and has encouraged him to do his own reading.

Thanks very much Peta!
