About the Book
This book is an exploration of self, and represents the electrical charge that binds us to everything. The Pulse of living. These Photographs were taken during distinct periods of isolation that promoted a connection with the environment that was felt deeply, and sometimes uncomfortably. Putting the difficult questions in my life right in front of my eyes, and free from distraction. The desert, lighting storms, and the dunes, all ignited a little fear, a little beauty, and supplied a moment to reflect on who I am and where I am. Journeys can be strenuous, or they can as easy as sitting on a porch watching the rain. Sometimes, we have to make a plan to venture deep into the wilderness, or sometimes you just have to walk outside. What is important, to me, is to be open and ready for those moments when they approach, willing sink in even if its hard, and experience it before its gone.
