In 1991 a large bank barn located on the campus of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, was close to collapse when the author came to the state to start an agricultural non-profit. This photo-essay book shows the detailed process of restoration that followed over the next two years using Amish craftsmen and others in an effort that many said would be impossible. The book is lavishly illustrated with intimate workplace photos by the author who acted as project manager for the restoration. The book is a generous 11 x 13 inches and may be printed on heavy premium quality paper. The perfect gift for that Luther College graduate friend!
Review: by Peter Ferry, author of the novel Travel Writing
"Just beautiful. I love the photography and the text is spare and elegant. A noble undertaking!"
