In 1991 a large bank barn located on the campus of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, was close to collapse when the author came to the state to start an agricultural non-profit. This photo-essay book shows the detailed process of restoration that followed over the next two years using Amish craftsmen and others in an effort that many said would be impossible.
