About the Book
A collection of journals chronicling a year in the life of someone suffering from borderline personality disorder - a mental illness that is elusive, misunderstood, and sometimes deadly. The journal entries give the reader a unique look into the mind of someone who has spent years suffering from this horrific illness. Understanding is the first step to reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, and this volume hopes to shed light on a seriously misunderstood mental illness.
I am by no means a professional writer, nor was it my intention to be one when the first book I released was born. From the pain I was experiencing due to my mental illness came pages upon pages of written and typed material chronicling my life as the illness progressed and I went through the ups and downs of life. Years later, I rediscovered the journals I had kept and decided that perhaps some good can come from them. Maybe someone going through the same )or similar) Hell I went through can benefit in some way from my experiences. Whether it is simply the feeling they are not alone or the acquisition of insight and understanding into an elusive and misunderstood entity that plagues millions. End the stigma. Start a conversation, be empathetic, and be open to the idea that mental illness is not a choice or a crutch - it is a life-long struggle that destroys lives every single day.
