Das Kabinette - In 1983, a limited edition of 500 vinyl 7" singles of 'The Cabinet', intended merely as an alternative to a cassette demo, eventually found popularity, decades later in the Darkwave clubs of Europe. A vinyl album of material from the same era followed in 2008 as part of the Minimal Wave catalogue. http://www.myspace.com/daskabinette
Dangerous Ground - A change in musical style for the now rock pop three-piece prompted a change of name in the late 1980s and three singles followed, achieving some limited success. The completed album has yet to find a home. http://www.myspace.com/dangerousgroundtheband
OctoberMan - A solo home recording project in order to demo new songs.
Mutant Suits - Another change in style provoked yet another name change. Now a pared-down two-piece and narrative driven blues rock in flavour. http://www.myspace.com/mutantsuits
Utronic - A change of name for solo recording now using home computing to multi-track essentially retro electronic fare. http://www.myspace.com/utronic
Michael Hall is a terminally confused, but essentially calm and contented ex-technical illustrator, looking for new avenues to explore, whose dream is to one day escape the protective blanket of Retro DVD Heaven to find that a new life awaits in the Off-World Colonies; a chance to begin again in a golden land of opportunity and adventure, away from the computer and TV. Lyric writing continues, as it began, in a semi-autobiographical attempt to assert some degree of feeble control at times in life when he clearly has none. This Cathartic Diary Method consists of protracted spells of furious and traumatic activity, followed by even longer periods of numb, but welcome indolence when all is quiet on Planet Calculus . . . perhaps too quiet. Michael enjoys beer and talking about himself in the third person.
