Writings From Wild Soul
Collected Essays and Poems 2009 - 2017
by Wendy Sarno
About the Book
Guided by a sense of longing for wonder, for beauty, for the mysterious ways the natural world lures us, meets us, and restores us, this collection of essays and poems invites you to travel along as the author wanders the land, and to find your way into this conversation humans hold with the wild world, exploring the ways we find language for the soul and make meaning of the journey. Over the years, Wendy Sarno has written about her explorations of the soul’s landscape, both inner and outer, from the canyons of Utah to her own backyard, and posted these reflections on her blog site Writings from Wild soul at Wordpress. Tho the digital world and the internet are wonderful things in this generation, there is still something deliciously tangible and magical about a book made of paper full of words and pictures that you can hold in your hand.
Wendy Sarno lives and writes in St. Louis, Missouri where she facilitates circles for spiritual deepening, and leads writing groups in the exploration and collecting of individual stories. She has been publishing her reflective essays, poetry and photographs on two blog sites, Writings From Wild Soul and Listening to Stones, for a number of years. She finds the deepest joy in wandering on the wild earth while letting a poem lead to a closer engagement with Mystery and soul. Wendy is mother of two and grandmother of five. She lives and occasionally wanders with her husband Jim Swinehart.
