Steven Cheroske has earned an impeccable reputation in the commercial and residential interior design industry; he began over 30 years ago as a young, eager display stylist for Judy’s, the trendy retailer responsible for introducing the miniskirt to America in the 1960’s. These humble beginnings prompted a whirlwind of exposure to the fashion industry, eventually resulting in the position of Visual Director for major department stores, including the Broadway, Bullock’s, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Armed with experience, reputation and relationships, he was ready to leave the corporate world and step out on his own. Since its inception in 1989, Steven Cheroske Design has continued to excel in commercial and residential design worldwide.
His career continues to span the globe: designing, consulting and teaming closely with trend-setting designers and international retailers. Steven Cheroske has designed twelve storewide promotions for Lotte Department Stores in South Korea; the store’s award-winning Christmas promotion is still the aspiration of many. His consulting endeavors comprise of vendor designs for Far Eastern Department Stores in Taiwan, ROC, as well as specialized retailers in Japan, Indonesia and Singapore. His American clients are every bit as notable, including design and installations for eleven St. John Boutiques in the USA and Europe. Additionally, Steven is known for creating a wide variety of residential environments for private clients in the USA and Mexico.
