About the Book
The original intent of this work was not to publish, merely to document my discoveries as I meandered about. There is an unexpected joy in locating a previously unknown species, noting its preferences and quirks, and sharing the discovery with everyone I encounter. I soon realized most miss out on the wonderment of plants, especially natives. My hope is this book opens a new world to those that are unknowingly deprived. This is my first attempt at bottling that exuberance and fascination. Note the phrase first attempt. This volume is likely riddled with errors, feel free to overlook those. The plants in these pages are not arranged in any scientific order; rather, the sequence follows the author's whim and fancy. Scientific jargon is kept to a minimum and the dichotomous key completely abandoned. Enjoy the flow of the photographs and commentary without a critical lens.
