About the Creator
Alice is a GDC Certified Graphic Designer with 20 years of experience in design and communications, with a strong focus on typography. Alice’s love of letterforms carries through to her practice as a calligrapher, and her work spans a broad range of applications from commercial (logos and word marks) to just-for-fun (greeting cards) to exploratory fine art (asemic calligraphy on canvas). Her calligraphic paintings on canvas have been exhibited and sold internationally. In 2015, along with fifty other calligraphers from around the world, Alice participated in the International Exhibition of Calligraphy held at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow. In 2015 and 2017, she created calligraphy works on wood as part of the OneTree Exhibit at the Robert Bateman Centre in Victoria, B.C.
