About the Book
This photo book is a compilation of thorn works that artist Susan White has created from 2010 to 2017. White has created large scale wall installations exhibited in galleries and museums as well as discrete sculptures in bronze and in the natural thorn. The thorns come from the honey locust tree and by using the pencil point tip of a wood burning tool, the works are self doweled. Susan White has created American flags to make comments regarding politics in America, as well as abstract and metaphorical works. She regards these works as a kind of three-dimensional drawing.

About the Creator
Susan White

I am a fine artist working with thorns from the honey locust tree to create large scale installations and discrete sculptures in bronze as well as in natural thorns. I also create pyrographs, drawings made with the use of a burning tool. I have shown my work in museums and galleries in the United States and my work has been influenced by an artist residency in Tokyo. I welcome inquiries about my work.
